In response to the development of tourism in Taiwan, the changes brought by an aging population, and the emphasis on early childhood sports development, consideration is given to factors such as the geographical environment of the tribes, the lack of welfare and medical resources, and insufficient caregiving manpower. This aims to implement the indigenous tribal tourism industry, encourage the return of young people to the tribes, and integrate early childhood sports activities with the inheritance of indigenous culture, thereby strengthening local cultural development in the tribes, ensuring that indigenous people receive appropriate services and care, and encouraging indigenous peoples to participate in community recreational activities.。
Our school has established the 'Indigenous Sports Promotion Program of the College of Sports,' primarily hoping to harness the excellent performance, potential, and talent of Indigenous students in sports through the professional capabilities of our Department of Sports Promotion, Department of Leisure Industry Management, and Department of Sports Health. We aim to integrate courses on Indigenous cultural knowledge to nurture professionals in promoting and guiding Indigenous children's sports, as well as talents in the leisure sports industry and outstanding individuals in the field of sports health care.
Our school has established an Indigenous Student Resource Center and dedicated personnel to assist with Indigenous affairs, which has met the basic service needs. The focus on and investment in Indigenous peoples, as well as participation in the preservation and promotion of Indigenous culture, are one of the missions and characteristics of the Indigenous special class, aimed at strengthening the overall competitiveness of Indigenous students in the future.
